A Wealth of Treasures is a guide to the collections held in UK museums. It was written for international museums to demonstrate the breadth of collections and the range of museums who might wish to develop international partnerships. It covers nine themes: art, contemporary art, decorative art, fashion, archaeology, science and industrial heritage, world cultures, social history and British icons. NMDC was commissioned to produce the brochure by the British Council, which was funded by Arts Council England.
Producing this brochure is part of NMDC's ongoing work to support and promote the international activity of our members, and the wider UK museum sector. This work includes our annual Working Internationally Conference (in partnership with ICOM-UK), partner in the Working Internationally Regional Project to build capacity in the sector to develop international partnerships, and the production of reports and papers to share best practice and contacts.
