NMDC strategy review consultation 11 May 2011
We are currently reviewing NMDC's strategy, vision and membership and would like to request your views.
The changing cultural landscape at present - with the abolition of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and transfer of functions to Arts Council England; the proposed change in status for non-national DCMS-sponsored museums; changes to Renaissance in the Regions; and a difficult spending round for the sector - raises a number of challenges. However, it also presents an opportunity and a timely juncture for the NMDC to consider where it can add most value and re-examine its future purpose and role, its audience and who it should represent.
We feel that if we are to be as effective as possible going ahead it is important that our stakeholders have also had the opportunity to comment on where they see the NMDC adding value and where we could re-focus. We would therefore be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete a short survey.
