About the role:

This is a newly created role within the People and Culture team overseeing, leading and developing the delivery of our People Operations function. Reporting into the Head of People Operations, you will review and introduce process efficiencies to ensure a consistent and excellent service is delivered to leaders and colleagues across the Museum.

You will lead a small and hard-working team of People Officers and People Coordinators with a strong focus on continuous improvement, compliance and best practice, delivering HR administration in a people-centric way. We care about our Museum colleagues and create trust and efficiency in our work through simplification and doing things consistently to an accurate standard.

Acting as a strategic partner, you will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance employee experience, streamline People Operations activity, and contribute to workforce planning and talent strategies.

Key areas of responsibility:

* Mentor and develop the People Operations team, fostering a high-performance team culture.
* Streamline People Operation processes, ensuring efficiency and legal compliance.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to align People and Culture strategies with business objectives.
* Oversee the delivery of a seamless candidate onboarding experience, ensuring that leaders and new starters receive a positive, informed, and timely delivery of support, including recruitment checks and producing employment contracts. To introduce and improve induction resources for new starters.
* Support and assist with the delivery of Museum projects that relate to People Operations, including but not limited to the design, procurement and implementation of a modern and future-focused HRIS.

What you'll bring to the team:

You will be a confident and comfortable People Operations professional, with a passion for problem solving and driving forward a small team. You will demonstrate a high level of initiative and have a strong focus on continuous improvement both of yourself and those around you. You will also be able to evidence:

* Proven experience delivering People Operations.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
* Skilled in building relationships and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience using HR systems.
