Events Manager

Do you have event experience and the ability to work with a range of clients? Are you keen to progress your career in a landmark venue in the centre of London?

About us

The Science Museum aims to inspire visitors with award-winning exhibitions, iconic objects and stories of incredible scientific achievement. Our world-class collection forms an enduring record of scientific, technological, and medical advancement from across the globe.

We have 13 unique galleries currently available for hire, along with our private event space, Illuminate. Illuminate is situated on one of the top floors of the Museum, hosting amazing views, and is available for both daytime and evening hire. In addition, we have the Smith Centre; originally constructed in 1890, the space has been elegantly preserved to present four spaces of varying size that suit a wide variety of event purposes.

You will have the opportunity to work in a distinctive and truly remarkable setting that transforms formal galas, conferences, and private soirées into once-in-a-lifetime events.

Please feel free to browse our Venue Hire website for more details on events at the Science Museum: www.hirethesciencemuseum.com

About the role

Within this diverse position, you will provide the complete range of event services from sales support to planning and operations. As you will be the first contact for new clients, you will not only promote our unqiue Museum spaces but also proactively promote our full events offer.

You will organise all aspects of your portfolio of events whilst developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, including the in-house caterers. You will conduct site visits with clients, finalising details for events and upselling where possible.

Events will range from conferences, product launches, dinners, receptions, Christmas parties and private events. Having worked with clients such as Rolls Royce, Nike and UNICEF, you will be able to expand your experience in a wide variety of events across all different sectors.
