About the role
At the British Library we believe that Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement are essential to delivering our mission. We’re looking for a passionate HR Advisor specialising in these areas to drive meaningful culture change.
Reporting to the Head of Inclusion & Engagement, you’ll deliver impactful projects and actively engage with colleagues across the organisation to shape a more inclusive culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of the ED&I strategy
- Progressing diversity, inclusion and belonging across the workforce
- Implementing and managing the staff engagement platform, including annual and quarterly surveys
- Analysing diversity data to identify trends, barriers and root causes
- Supporting benchmarking activity such as the Race at Work Charter
- Managing the D&I calendar of events and content across intranet and external platforms
- Keeping up to date with D&I trends, legislation and best practice
- Working collaboratively with staff networks and Trade Union colleagues
About you
- Proven experience delivering D&I-focused activities or projects
- Passionate about inclusion and driving positive culture change
- Strong project management and research skills
- Confident analysing and presenting data in an engaging way
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, particularly in D&I
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Relevant generalist HR experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Experience facilitating complex conversations and understanding about protected characteristics including social mobility
