About us
Royal Museums Greenwich is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. The Role
Our Visitor and Sales Assistants provide a great visitor experience in our galleries, on admissions and in our shops at our sites. We would love to hear from you if you are an excellent communicator, you understand what makes excellent customer service and you have a willingness to learn new skills.
We are looking to fill fixed-term contracts at the National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory until 30th September and 31st October, depending on the site. These will start at different points during the peak holiday period starting from July. Please state in your application which hours you would like to apply for.
We also really encourage and welcome applicants with foreign language skills, so do let us know if you speak another language within your application.
The types of hours available are:
Full-time
33.75 hours per week, on a rota including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are 6.75 hours per day. Salary: £24,400 per annum.
Part-time
Lunch Cover - 4 hours per day shifts, usually from 11:30am-3:30pm. Salary: £14,459 per annum. We can also offer lunch cover positions working 3 or 4 days per week.
Weekends - 13.5 hours per week, working Saturdays and Sundays. Salary: £9,760 per annum.
Evenings at the Royal Observatory - 4-hour shifts, usually from 4-8pm. Salary: £14,459 per annum.
