Networks Manager (IWM Institute)

Working with the Programme and Networks Manager (IWM Institute), the Networks Manager will run the Institute's growing networks programme with a specific focus on building and developing the IWM Associates Network, a group of leading artists, academics, journalists, historians and tech experts. The role will also support development and roll-out of a NextGen network for 18-30 year olds with a professional interest in war and conflict, which the IWM Institute plans to launch within 12 months, and may also manage other networks for IWM as opportunities arise. Across all networks, the Networks Manager will manage all day-to-day aspects of network development, from recruitment and onboarding of new members to community outreach and engagement, in order to build closer links with members, support knowledge exchange internally and externally and grow the research and innovation culture at IWM.

In collaboration with the wider IWM Institute Team the post-holder will deliver the Future of War programme, a new quarterly event series with IWM Associates and potentially NextGen participants exploring developments, themes and trends that will impact IWM's future work, with potential session topics including the role of AI in conflict, climate change and war and the future of conflict journalism. The Networks Manager will also be responsible for programming a variety of other network-building activities and will produce a communications plan which encompasses a thought leadership-style community magazine aimed at IWM Associates, NextGen, IWM staff and expert partners.
