Head of People & Culture (2 year Fixed Term)

The Head of People & Culture is a new Birmingham Museum Trust role who will work with the leadership team to nurture the culture and devise and run the best employee experience, ensuring we support our people so they can flourish and do their best work.

The post holder reports directly to the Director of Development and applicants will be required to demonstrate suitable experience in senior level relationship management, business change and wider service transformation.

We are implementing a new and wide-reaching business strategy of which our People and our Workforce Culture are key enablers in ensuring that business transformation is achieved and underpins and facilitates our long term strategic goals.

What you will do:

You will lead, motivate and manage a dedicated People and Culture Team which includes all aspects of Human Resource management, People Development and Cultural Evolution.
You will hold overall responsibility for the People and Culture Strategy

As Head of service you will be responsible for a broad set of deliverables (supported by a small team) for which key responsibilities include:

Working with the leadership team to design and execute the people and culture strategy.
Owning our end to end HR processes and ensuring we’re set up for success as we continue to grow as a leading organisation in our field.
Day to day running of the people and culture function.
Designing and overseeing our learning and development programme.
Building on our performance management programme to ensure we help our people grow.
Champion reward and recognition across the organisation.
Maintaining and nurturing our unique and dynamic culture as we continue to grow.

Demonstrable and broad HR experience. (CIPD route of professional practice preferable)
