Volunteer Programmes Administrator

Volunteer Programmes Administrator

RMG’s mission is to enrich people’s understanding of the sea, the exploration of space, and Britain’s role in world history. The RMG Volunteer programme currently consists of roughly 250 volunteers. Through supporting the departmental Volunteer coordinators, the Volunteer office is responsible for ensuring the programmes are inclusive and people focussed and ensuring that the volunteers have a valued experience.

Purpose:

The Volunteer Administrator provides administrative support across all volunteer programme activities including onboarding, recruiting, development, training, volunteer relations and recognition, and benefits.

This role will assist the Volunteer Programmes Manager in delivering the strategic plan for volunteering at RMG; creatively identifying ways to extend, improve and promote the range of volunteering opportunities and to actively increase the diversity of our volunteers.

Terms and conditions

Net working hours will be 15 hours per week. Whilst we would prefer the successful candidate to work some of their hours on Mondays, the rest of the hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Volunteer Programmes Manager. We are also happy to discuss a few of the hours being completed remotely.

Salary: £8,055 per annum, pro rata of £19,332 per annum

Diversity and inclusion is integral to our work at Royal Museums Greenwich, as we are a museum for everyone. We want to foster a spirt of inclusion, collaborative working, innovation, and valuing people as individuals whose lives have been shaped by different experiences. This is why we welcome applications from everyone.
