Media and PR Assistant

About the role
The Media and PR team is responsible for protecting and promoting the reputation of the Natural History Museum as one of the UK's most popular visitor attractions and a global, scientific, and cultural leader through the media and key opinion formers.

You will provide administrative support for the Media and PR team and take an active role in publicising the Museum's work. You will also have the opportunity to support the Museum's prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

In this role you will find your days filled with responses to our range of press queries, drafting press materials, supervising filming, delivering media briefings, and supporting the wider team with a range of initiatives.

About you

You will have essential experience of working in a busy Press/PR office, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, along with strong administrative skills.

You work well under pressure, and can prioritise effectively when responding to deadlines, and maintaining multiple simultaneous projects.

In addition, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write attention-grabbing press releases, concise briefing notes, compelling speeches and comment pieces or blogs.

Closing date: 9am on Tuesday 20 April 2021

Interviews expected 4 - 5 May
