Team Leader - Services Development
About us: In the Collections Expertise and Engagement (CEE) department, we are passionate about using our expert knowledge of our collections to inspire audiences in different ways and make them think differently about archives. The Strategic Operations team has overall responsibility for the provision and quality of advice and guidance including our online research guides, paid research and one to one advice through email, online chat and onsite in the reading rooms. About the role: As Team Leader, Services Development, you will: • Lead and develop training and skills programmes and strategy to deliver and develop records knowledge across the department and TNA more widely • Work closely with other public engagement departments on the development and delivery of the public enquiries service, identifying new ways to provide one-to-many services and impart records guidance to our audiences • Work across the National Archives to ensure that guidance products and records engagement programmes are designed and delivered via the best media available to ensure that the customer experience is perceived as “best in class” • Manage a develop a small team of staff to support this work You will also help to staff our public advice service, delivering research advice to the public through different channels such as online chat, email and in person About you: You will have strong people management and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate negotiation, influencing and communications skills. You will have experience of developing and implementing training and research products in a customer facing environment. You will be have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and that of a team. You will have a strong sense of customer service delivery and ability to lead through example.
