Volunteers Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Volunteers Coordinator to look after our Volunteer Guides programme at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. You will be part of a team who recruit, train and support over 400 volunteers across Tate Modern and Tate Britain in various roles including Volunteer Visitor Hosts, Family Hosts and Volunteer Guides who all play a valuable part in welcoming visitors to the galleries and introducing them to our collections.

As a Volunteers Coordinator you will coordinate the day-to-day running of the Volunteer Guides programme at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, spending time with volunteers in the gallery, getting to know the team and supporting people individually so they can thrive in their role. You will communicate with gallery teams and provide logistical and administrative support to ensure that our visitors and volunteers feel welcomed and supported.

With previous experience of supporting volunteers, you will be committed to Tate’s volunteer programme and its ethos of supporting diversity and inclusion. Your excellent interpersonal skills will help you support a large team of volunteers, and your positive and flexible approach will be crucial for working collaboratively with the volunteer staff and colleagues in other departments. Additionally, experience of involvement in volunteer recruitment and delivering training will be an asset in this role.

Interviews will be held Friday 6th March 2020.
