Estates Manager

Do you have working knowledge of building construction and mechanical and electrical systems? Are you a customer-focused with experience of leading a team to deliver high quality work?

The Science Museum Group (SMG) is the largest and most complex museum estate in the country and is vital to the delivery of the Group's challenging corporate objectives. The Estate team are responsible for ensuring that the SMG Estate meets all legislative and business requirements, is consistently well maintained, efficiently run and ultimately delivers an excellent customer experience.

We continue to transform our Estate and develop a professional Estate Management team. In this exciting role you will lead the Estate Team based at the Science Museum in London, to ensure the provision of buildings and facilities are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. As well as managing minor works and contractors, you will be responsible for capital estate projects as well as building leases, contracts and maintenance.

Joining us, you will have working knowledge of construction, M&E and fire regulations, as well as the ability to lead and manage a small team. In addition, you will be qualified to BIFM Level 4 or equivalent and hold NEBOSH or IOSH certificate. You will be liaising with a wide range of internal stakeholders, subject specialists, external consultants and contractors so will need to demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills.
