Interpretation Manager

Do you have experience of developing narratives and interpretation for exhibitions? Do you understand the process of exhibition development?

As Interpretation Manager you will work with the Exhibitions and interpretation team to deliver visitor centred content for its exciting programme of exhibitions. You will understand the importance of design, digital and text in the exhibitions, bringing skills for writing briefs, directing contractors and designers to achieve excellence in our interpretive approach.

You will be organised, enthusiastic and have practical experience of creating inspiring exhibition content and environments. You will enjoy working across a broad range of topics and introducing them to museum visitors. Each exhibition has a different team and its own challenges, calling for a wide range of negotiation skills and creative solutions. You will work with Curators, designers and digital team to shape how research is communicated to our visitors ensuring that our exhibitions and displays exceed expectations. You will work both directly on projects and through managing a dedicated team of interpretation developers working on smaller projects to ensure a consistent and exceptional approach to interpretation.
