Are you highly detail-oriented and experienced in managing a broad range of financial administration work? Can you maintain great external relationships to support engagement and action?
About us
The Science Museum Group (SMG) exists to inspire future scientists, engineers and inventors. As the world's leading group of science museums, we share our unparalleled collection across science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine with over five million visitors each year.
Our Licensing and Commercial Partnerships team is creative, collaborative and commercially driven. We focus on delivering sustainable financial growth that supports SMG's mission, working with a wide range of partners to bring our brands to life in everyday settings.
To support this team, we are seeking a Licensing Finance Administrator to join us on a permanent, full time basis, working 35 hours per week.
About the role
As Licensing Finance Administrator, you will support a range of finance administrative tasks, including raising invoices, running sales reports, and tracking royalty statements against advances and Minimum Income Guarantees.
You will work across the Science and Society Picture Library and brand licensing systems, processing royalty statements and ensuring that all records, including contractual information, are accurate and up to date. Alongside this, you will assist with picture library requests, responding to enquiries and issuing licences.
This role can be based at any of the Science Museum Group's sites, depending on your preference - London, Bradford, York or Manchester. As the team is based in London, you will be required to visit occasionally. We can also offer hybrid working, including flexibility to work from home on a regular basis.
About you
By joining us, you will bring experience of providing general administrative support, with an understanding of financial processes and some experience supporting budgets, including raising invoices and purchase orders.
You will have solid IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, and be comfortable learning new licensing systems. By staying detail-focused, you will help ensure records remain accurate and financial administration operates smoothly across the team.
Great communication and interpersonal skills are important, enabling you to engage effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. If you are detail-oriented, comfortable with changing priorities, and interested in contributing to a supportive and collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.
Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
