Commercial Operations Coordinator

Are you someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys working with a wide range of colleagues and takes pride in helping projects run smoothly from start to finish?

About us

The Science Museum Group (SMG) is here to inspire future scientists, engineers and inventors. As the world's leading group of science museums, we share our unparalleled collection spanning science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine with over five million visitors each year.

Our Commercial department helps advance SMG's mission by generating income that supports our program of new galleries, exhibitions, and high-quality learning opportunities. Our Enterprises team works across a wide range of commercial areas, including retail and ecommerce, licensing and commercial partnerships, venue hire, commercial experiences, public catering and commercial projects.

To support this work, we are seeking a Commercial Operations Coordinator to join us on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role, working 28 hours per week, and can be based at either the Science Museum in London or the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.

About the role

As Commercial Operations Coordinator, you will support the Commercial Operations Director and the wider Enterprises team with project coordination and administrative support. You will help commercial projects run smoothly by supporting communication across teams, coordinating meetings and activity, and helping to keep priorities on track.

You will partner with teams in public programmes, communications and marketing, digital, and other areas to support the effective completion of commercial projects. You will also help prepare reports, presentations and performance updates relating to commercial activity.

You will act as an administrative point of contact for internal colleagues and external partners working with the Enterprises team.

This is a great opportunity to develop your administrative skills further while building experience in departmental stakeholder management across a varied and collaborative commercial environment.

About you

By joining us, you'll bring experience of providing administrative and coordination support, including scheduling meetings and helping teams manage priorities.

You'll be comfortable building positive working relationships with colleagues and partners, working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks at the same time.

Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
