The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, though our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.
The National Army Museum is recruiting an Objects Conservator in the Collections Standards and Care team, to support our work in preserving and caring for our unrivalled collection, both on display and in storage. We are looking for an individual with a passion for our work and the ability to work as part of our highly experienced team.
The post-holder will be responsible for the preparation, conservation and installation of items from the Museum’s collection, loans in for exhibition and display, and ongoing collections care and storage work guided by conservation, professional ethics and national and international museum standards.
Please note that this role is office/stores based and hybrid/offsite working is not available.
