Access And Inclusion Manager: Public Programmes

This role will suit someone who is passionate and proactive about access and inclusion.

You will be key in guiding us to ensure that our public programmes for our new museum at Smithfield and London Museum Docklands meets the needs of all visitors, and is inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

You will develop and manage the delivery of the Access Programme, ensuring that the museum’s public offer is inclusive to audiences who are d/Deaf, disabled or have other protected characteristics, and you will advise on compliance with the Equality Act 2010 across our public programmes.

We are looking for someone with experience of planning, implementing, delivering and evaluating d/Deaf and disabled access programmes and events appealing to a diverse urban population, such as London’s or other urban centres, in a cultural, arts or charitable organisation.

You should have knowledge of implementing EDI policy, action plans and best practice in public sector organisations, including understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and related policies and frameworks.

And you should have experience of working in partnership with d/Deaf and disabled people and relevant organisations to co-design and deliver inclusive public programmes and events.

Previous experience of working in a museum is not required and you do not need to have any academic qualifications, we are looking for someone who has experience of managing access programmes and working collaboratively to create inclusive events, content and experiences.
