02078145611Retail Operations Manager
London Museum is at a once-in-a-generation turning point. As we prepare to open our landmark new home at Smithfield alongside our established site at Docklands, we’re building the operational foundations that will carry us forward and retail is at the heart of it.
You'll manage a team of supervisors and a Retail Logistics Coordinator, owning the day-to-day running of retail across both our Smithfield and Docklands sites from stock control and EPOS systems to visual merchandising and team performance. This is a pivotal moment to join: you'll play a central role in the operational mobilisation of our landmark new Smithfield home, ensuring everything works, reliably, at pace
You’ll bring significant experience managing retail operations in a high-volume, public-facing environment as a Store Manager, Cluster Manager or equivalent with strong working knowledge of EPOS and stock control systems and operations. You’ll have a demonstrable track record of implementing disciplined stock procedures that protect margin and reduce shrinkage, ideally alongside experience of supporting store openings or operational scale-ups.
Previous experience of working in a museum is not required. We are looking for someone who has experience of managing retail operations at scale, strong knowledge of retail systems and processes, and a rigorous, solutions-focused approach to leading high-performing teams.
