IDP Partners and Activities Coordinator

Location: St Pancras

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year

Hours: Full time (36 hours)

Grade: C

Salary: £31,244 per annum

About the role

Since 1994, the British Library has played a key role in the development of the International Dunhuang Programme (IDP), a major, long-standing international collaboration connecting partner institutions in Europe, Asia and the US with collections related to Dunhuang and other archaeological sites in China and Central Asia. The IDP is one of the Library’s strategic priorities and an important component of our international engagement. We are currently seeking a Partners and Activities Coordinator to help support the programme’s operations and external relationships during an exciting period of activity. This post is funded until 31 March 2027.

As Partners and Activities Coordinator, you will help maintain and strengthen the IDP’s extensive global network of partners, patrons and stakeholders. You will provide administrative support to the team and facilitate the planning and delivery of activities and projects. In addition, your responsibilities will include updating the IDP website and preparing the communication and social media schedule.

We are looking for someone who can bring strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, as well as excellent working knowledge of Chinese. The ability to edit text in Mandarin would be a desirable plus. More details about the role's responsibilities and requirements can be found in the job profile.
