Are you interested in the world of video games and the energy of interactive gaming? Do you enjoy leading teams, supporting visitors of all ages and keeping a busy, interactive gaming exhibition running smoothly?
About us
The Science Museum Group manages one of the world's most significant collections of science, technology and industrial heritage. At the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, we inspire visitors through interactive galleries, live demonstrations and innovative exhibitions that explore ideas shaping our world.
Our Power Up gallery invites visitors to play the very best video games of the last five decades, offering more than 150 consoles in an immersive gaming space. We are now looking for a Visitor Experience Supervisor (Power Up) to join our Operations team and help lead this much-loved experience.
About the role
As Visitor Experience Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of our Power Up gallery. You will act as the lead manager in the space, resolving service incidents, overseeing presentation standards, ensuring the safety of visitors and colleagues, and escalating issues when required. You will motivate and support a small team, contribute to commercial targets, deliver first-rate customer service, and coordinate with colleagues across the museum to create a seamless visitor experience.
You will supervise the gallery during public opening hours, special events and busy periods, ensuring the environment remains safe, inclusive and engaging - whether visitors are families discovering classic games or competitive gamers exploring our next-gen titles.

* School holidays: 28 hours per week (4 shifts per week), on a weekly rolling rota including Saturday and Sunday
* Standard shift time: 09:15-17:15
