The Role
Working in the Development and Events team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Trusts and Foundations, the Trusts and Foundations Officer will support with managing, organising and liaising with a growing portfolio of trust and foundation donors.
Key responsibilities include acting as point of contact for the Trusts and Foundations team, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, preparing interesting, informative and accurate reports for funders, record keeping of grant contracts and other paperwork to ensure accurate paper trails for auditing purposes, and ensuring donor/prospect relationship records are kept up to date on the fundraising database Raisers Edge. The role holder will work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Fundraisers and the Senior Manager of Trusts and Foundations to ensure in-depth knowledge of Museum activities and related grant income and contribute to the team target, and work closely with teams delivering funded projects, to monitor and track budget expenditure ready for reporting. They will undertake data analysis of the Trusts and Foundations Team performance, carry out initial due diligence checks ahead of seeking funding, and ensure Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) and other data processing is up to date and compliant with GDPR and other data structures.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, outstanding writing skills, and demonstrable financial literacy. The role holder will have the ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders alike, be a team player, willing to get stuck in, with a collaborative mindset, and passion and enthusiasm for heritage, culture and the arts, with an appreciation of the value of culture and the arts to society. Secure knowledge and confidence in navigating Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive as well as Microsoft Word and Excel are essential, and familiarity with Raisers Edge NXT or other content/data management systems is preferable.
This is a full time, fixed term role until 30 June 2028 in Band 6 - Management and Competent Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, Due to the nature of the work flexibility is required in meeting the demands of the role.
Salary: £31,252 per annum
