We’re recruiting for a Head of Marketing, Brand and Digital to join the team at Birmingham Museums Trust.
In this role, you will lead our marketing, brand, and digital functions, helping us connect with audiences in Birmingham and beyond. You will be responsible for creating and implementing an action plan that leverages all our marketing and digital assets to bring our new five-year strategy to life. You will also ensure we pioneer the use of technology to broaden our reach and deepen our impact.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading and coaching a team of managers and coordinators with a diverse range of skills.
Shaping and delivering the Birmingham Museums brand, rooted in connection, creativity, and community.
Championing our audiences, ensuring their needs, voices, and aspirations guide your department’s work.
Representing the brand as a strategic leader in cross-functional discussions, embedding digital, brand, and marketing thinking into project planning and delivery.
Acting as a senior spokesperson for BMT.
Overseeing all externally facing digital channels.
Leading the development and monitoring of financial and non-financial KPIs related to digital, brand, and marketing.
Managing the Marketing, Brand, and Digital budgets across the organisation.
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone inspired by the opportunity to transform how a museum service connects with its audiences. You should be comfortable driving innovation and change, while also ensuring the organisation’s day-to-day needs are met. A proven track record in a similar role or within a comparable organisation where social impact, audience engagement, and visitor experience is desirable.
