Exhibitions and Interpretation Officer

As Exhibitions and Interpretation Officer, you will play a key role in shaping creative programming and developing people-focused interpretation across our exhibitions displays, primarily at our London site.

What You'll Do

Lead small to medium-sized exhibition and interpretation projects, from concept to delivery
Develop engaging, visitor-centred interpretation plans and content in collaboration with curators and managers.
Manage updates and maintenance of permanent galleries, including the award-winning First World War galleries.
Support major exhibitions and provide administrative and project support across the exhibitions team.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including designers, contractors, and collections teams.
Occasionally travel to other IWM sites to support installations and de-installations.
Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a passion for storytelling and a strong foundation in exhibition development. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

A qualification (NVQ4 or equivalent) or relevant experience in exhibitions, interpretation, or a related field.
Strong creative flair and design sensibility.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project.
A collaborative team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
