About Role
Based within the Open Scholarship team at the Bodleian Libraries, this 12-month post provides an exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly evolving area of Open Scholarship and to support digitised and born digital collections that are of global importance.
You will work alongside experts in a number of complementary areas - copyright and licensing, open access, research data management and open infrastructure - to provide a joined-up service to Bodleian and University staff and academics. You will coordinate the development of a digital preservation roadmap and policy, and provide training and advice for users across the Bodleian and the University on good digital preservation practices. The postholder will be encouraged to collaborate with expert groups in this area, such as the Digital Preservation Coalition, making this an ideal post for learning and skills development.
This is a fixed-term post, available for 12 months, working 37.5 hours per week. Applications for 0.8 FTE, or on a job share basis, will be considered. This role supports flexible working (hybrid and home working).
About You
You will have experience working in the higher education or cultural heritage sectors, with an understanding of digital preservation issues in relation to libraries and collections. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential.
How to apply
You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one. Both documents must be submitted to be considered.
Only applications received online before 12:00 midday (BST) on Friday 26th September 2025 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place via Teams and on the mornings of Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th October 2025.
