About the Role
The Estates Services Technician is actively involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Horniman estate.

Key Responsibilities
Based predominantly at the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill amongst the grade II* listed buildings and 16 acres of gardens, helping to care for the estate for future generations. The Estates Services Technician is actively involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Horniman estate.

The role will involve investigating issues, maintaining buildings and systems and responding to various requests from the Horniman team. Key tasks will include excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders and provide support and report escalation matters within the Estates Section.

About You
Key Qualities, Skills, and Experience
Demonstrable experience of practical general maintenance, carpentry and plumbing etc., ideally within a public or listed building. Experience of planning repairs from identifying problems to sourcing tools and materials through to resolution. Knowledge and understanding of safe working and health and safety principles and practices. Experience working within a team, setting standards and motivating.
