About the role
Culture is one of the six British Library purposes, and this role will lead on the delivery of our Culture progarmme, including a hybrid events programmes and more ambitious and diverse exhibitions and displays for visitors of all ages onsite, across the UK, internationally, and online.

The role will be at the heart of planning new spaces for the British Library in London (as part of our St Pancras extension and permanent gallery expansion) and in Leeds (both creating new public spaces at our Boston Spa site and advancing our ambitions for a new site in the centre of the city).

You will be an experienced leader in the culture sector, with experience of programme planning and delivering the interpretation, design, and build of major exhibitions. You will have experience of developing events for the general public and for specific community audiences, and of transforming cultural spaces to meet new audience and user demands.

Above all, you will be passionate about our Culture purpose to engage everyone with memorable cultural experiences.
