Senior Functions Manager

Reporting to the Head of Income Development, the Senior Functions Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the department, helping to deliver over 100 events every year. From small meetings to multi-day conferences, intimate weddings to corporate fine dining, the Functions team handle venue hire and internal event delivery across our five sites. With the ongoing growth of this vital income generating department, this role will be crucial in ensuring excellent customer care and maintaining the positive reputation of Brighton & Hove Museums.

You will be:
Working with the Head of Income Development to market and promote the venue hire offer
Working with the team to generate and manage event bookings
Supporting day to day operational delivery of all events
You should have:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people, and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Experience of event planning and programming
Experience of proactive sales and marketing, ideally in the events industry
