Individual Giving Officer

Key Accountabilities:

Patron Programme, Cultivation and Stewardship

Supporting the Philanthropy Manager in the cultivation, retention and stewardship of Patrons and other individual supporters
Being the first point of contact for the Patrons scheme, processing all memberships and responding to queries in a timely and appropriate manner
Leading on Patron communications and administration, including processing income raised from the scheme, thanking Patrons for their support and writing a regular Patron newsletter
Supporting the development of an innovative and engaging biannual programme of Patron Events, ensuring that all events are delivered to the highest standard
Research

Supporting prospect research within the Individual Giving Team when required and providing accurate information on individuals ahead of Gallery events
CRM, Finance and Administration

Managing individual records on the Gallery’s CRM system, ensuring all records are correct, prospect pipelines are updated regularly and the processing of contributions is accurate, to maintain excellent financial records
Submit a monthly Direct Debit claim and ensure the timely and accurate processing of any Gift Aid applicable to funds raised
Keeping up to date with best practice and relevant legislation around Individual Giving, such as Gift Aid, GDPR, and current Direct Debit protocols
Other

Working with teams across the Gallery, including Communications, Design, Events and Finance to support the day to day activities of the Individual Giving Team
Events

It will be essential that the post-holder is able to attend and assist at Patron Events (and other key Gallery events such as Galas and Fundraising Dinners) and is prepared to work outside normal office hours as part of this role (time in lieu will be offered where appropriate)
