A permanent grade E vacancy has arisen for a full time Post Room/Loading Bay person to ensure the uninterrupted movement of books and goods within the buildings and on site at Boston Spa, and ensuring the Link material is correctly prepared.

The role will include driving an on-site Luton Van equipped with a tail lift, use of the BL mechanical handling equipment (training will be provided) and sorting and delivery of books and other material delivered to and sent out from BL Boston Spa.

This will include working as part of the Logistics Department supporting the Library distribution infrastructure to ensure material arrives at the required destination in a safe and timely manner.

As a successful candidate, you will take responsibility for your own work and for taking tasks through to completion by selecting the appropriate collection or delivery method. You will be open minded about new ways of working, and willing to try different tasks; learning new methods and skills, while keeping up to date with the required knowledge and skills for the role. You will need to understand the needs of the customer and aim to fully meet their requirements, whilst ensuring value for money, time and other resources. You will be flexible and adaptable and work well as part of a team; covering for other colleagues and various tasks to ensure team goals are met.
