The British Library is looking for a Conservation Loans and Exhibitions Manager to join the conservation team.

The jobholder will be responsible for condition checks on BL collection items and advise on treatments to collection items for safe display. The role requires project organisational skills for managing the yearly conservation programme for preparing items for loans and exhibitions.

The successful candidate will advise on mounting and display requirements and act as courier for complex outward loans and BL touring exhibitions to UK and International venues as well as BL exhibitions. The Conservation loans and exhibition manager will also manage a small team of conservators. The jobholder will have a degree in conservation studies; demonstrate management skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively.
