IT Contracts Manager and General Administrator

The Domesday Book, Medieval Chancery records, Shakespeare’s will, Tweets from Downing Street. These are just some of the 11 million items held by The National Archives.

As the IT Contracts Manager, working in our IT Operations team, you will have the opportunity to support The National Archives in meeting the needs of each of our major audiences and to contribute to exciting and interesting work that puts you at the heart of our technology transformation programme.

IT Operations is responsible for one of the largest budgets in The National Archives and has responsibility for over 100 contracts. We are continually changing our technologies and improving our services and we are seeking someone that can support and assist in transforming our services by ensuring we continue to operate value for money services using the approved routes to market.

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, commercially aware person who will play a major role in providing end-to-end procurement support, contract and general administration and advice to the IT Operations management team to support the delivery of IT services. You will work collaboratively with teams across The National Archives, including Procurement and Finance, to assist in the delivery of value for money services.

This is an opportunity to create a standard of excellence in contract management and administration at The National Archives with the support to implement appropriate changes to accomplish an effective model.
