Are you passionate about revealing the wonder of science to others? Do you want to communicate your enthusiasm about our exhibits and ignite curiosity for wide-ranging audiences?

The Science Museum is one of the UK's leading museums and we want you to help us engage with our visitors and deliver authentic stories which capture their imagination and ignite their curiosity in science.

As an Explainer you will use your excellent communication skills and your dramatic flair to deliver authentic stories to diverse audiences. You will spend time in the Science Museum's exciting galleries, interacting with visitors and helping them learn from our exhibits.

In this role you'll develop your skills through on the job training programmes with the aim of supporting you to deliver high quality, life-enhancing learning experiences that are memorable and engaging.

We have a number of Part Time roles available:

Part Time: 18 hours per week. These involve working 3 shifts of 6 hours each. Shifts will be the same every week and will be on Saturdays, Sundays and one weekday.

You must be able to attend an Assessment Day on Monday 4th November 2019, be able to start work on Monday 9th December 2019 and be available to attend a full-time training course from 9th - 13th December 2019.
