Development Coordinator, Smith Centre

Do you have experience of working in customer-facing environments? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly manner?

Opening in April 2019, the centre will be a dedicated space for major supporters of the Science Museum to meet and hold events, as well as providing a members’ lounge for our Patrons. The centre will play a key role in the cultivation and stewardship of our highest value supporters, enabling us to build strong relationships with them and offer engaging and exclusive benefits alongside adding another venue to an exciting portfolio available for hire at the Science Museum.

As Development Coordinator, Smith Centre you will welcome supporters and corporate clients to the centre, ensuring they can make the most of their visit to help deepen their engagement with the museum. You will partner with colleagues in the Development team to understand the motivations, requirements and interests of our donors and support the delivery of exceptional stewardship experiences.

Using your outstanding organisational skills, you will develop processes to ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the centre. You will collaborate with colleagues to book and plan events taking place in the centre, as well as managing small scale events yourself.

You will be offered excellent benefits, including 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, BUPA medical and dental care, an annual season ticket loan and numerous staff discounts whilst developing your career in a world class museum group.

You will receive a confirmation email from [email protected] once you have submitted your application via our recruitment website. If you do not receive an email, please contact us on the above email address where our HR Service team will be able to assist you.
