Facilities Officer

This role will support the small facilities team with planned and reactive maintenance across its 9 sites. Ensuring all PPM’s are in place and compliant to legislative requirements. Working closely with the Facilities Maintenance technician ensuring all reactive work is picked up as appropriate.

You will liaise with Museum Managers and landlords on building and maintenance issues. Ensuring the budget for planned and reactivate maintenance is monitored and spend is prioritised. As well as managing contractors and ensuring permit to work and inductions are undertaken prior to starting a job and ensuring due diligence information is in place and maintained.

To be successful in this role you will also need to have the following:

- Be self-motivated
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of helpdesk systems
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- IOSH or equivalent trained
- Facilities Management training e.g. BIFM (preferred) – although training will be given
- Financial budget tracking experience
- Experience of Contractor Management and service level agreements
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Flexible, ability to work weekends, evenings as requested as well as at different sites
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking building inspections and producing reports
- Knowledge of listed buildings would be an advantage
