Paul Evans

Chief Executive, Royal Armouries Museum

Paul Evans was appointed Master Chief Executive of the Royal Armouries in July 2003. He was previously the Museum’s Chief Operating Officer for two years.

Before joining the Royal Armouries, the UK’s National Museum of Arms & Armour, Mr Evans was a senior executive in the holidays, leisure and brewing industries.

Mr Evans serves as a member of a number of local advisory committees within the City of Leeds and is a school Governor.

He has an MBA from Manchester Business School and is currently completing a research degree into organisational behaviour. Mr Evans has a master’s degree in Japanese language

A keen sportsman Mr Evans has representative honours as a rugby player and is a second dan Judo player.

Married with two children, Mr Evans lives in the historic city of York.
