Hours: Part-time: Monday – Friday, between 9:30am – 2:30pm
Contract: Fixed-term for the duration of 6 months, with a possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Black Country Living Museum is seeking a Group Travel Sales Executive to join our Cultural Enterprises Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our award-winning Museum and play a key role in growing our group travel offer both nationally and internationally.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will generate, manage, and convert group travel enquiries into confirmed bookings. You’ll do this by building relationships through a consultative, service-led approach, creating bespoke packages and memorable visitor experiences.

What will you be doing?
• Delivering outstanding customer service to national and international group travel clients by creating and selling bespoke itineraries.
• Managing the full group travel journey, ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to arrival.
• Driving visitor numbers and revenue by converting enquiries into bookings and identifying opportunities to upsell.
• Building and maintaining relationships with coach operators, travel agencies, tour organisers, and tourism partners.
• Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities to grow our group travel offering.
• Collaborating with teams across the Museum to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
• Maintaining accurate booking records and sales data to support performance and growth.
• Gathering and acting on customer feedback to continuously enhance our group travel offer.
• Supporting the development and promotion of new group products, experiences, and packages.
• Representing the Museum at trade shows, networking events, familiarisation visits, and industry events, promoting our unique offer to new and existing audiences.
What are we looking for?
• Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within tourism or hospitality.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and converting leads into business.
• Excellent customer service skills, particularly via telephone and email communication.
• Confident IT skills, with the ability to use booking or ticketing systems.
• A positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach to work.
