Records Manager

Are you a forward thinking and dynamic Records Manager, with proven ability to lead on the management of Tate’s rich collection of records about the history of Tate and other collections, from the point of creation until placed on deposit as a public record in line with the Public Records Act?
We seek an experienced Records Manager who will develop the Records Management function, champion a culture of open and rigorous information and records management, enhance good practice, and raise the profile internally in accordance with Tate’s strategic goals.
You will join the organisation at a pivotal time, as Tate is in the process of implementing a new SharePoint Electronic Document & Records Management System platform, thereby providing a digital information management solution for all Tate’s current and semi-current records now and in the future.

The role leads and directs the work of the Information & Records Management Team, with responsibility for overseeing information and records management across all Tate sites and access to Tate’s Public Records collection. The role reports to the Head of Library & Archive and manages three people.

You will have strong interpersonal and influencing skills, a proven ability to negotiate and work collaboratively across a complex organisation to achieve and deliver results, and a track record in creating high performing teams where staff feel valued and motivated.
You will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Records Management or equivalent related experience, and senior responsibility for records management in central government or the wider public/private sector.

The role is based at Tate Britain and works across Tate’s four sites. There is an expectation that you will work three days per week from the office and two days from home given the nature of the role.
