The Simon Sainsbury Curatorial Fellow (Paintings before 1600)

Focusing on European paintings from before 1600, the fellow will support a wide range of activities including collection research, the development of displays, interpretation, and contributions to public programmes. The role offers valuable insight into how the Gallery care for and present historic collections, while also encouraging engagement with new audiences.


Applicants should have a strong academic background in European painting, excellent research and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for making the collection relevant and accessible to today’s audiences.
